Some general field notes about Botanical Oils

Botanical and vegetable oils are rich in fat-soluble vitamins, fatty acids and essential fatty acids making them wonderfully biocompatible with the skin. Containing protective emollient properties which reduce transepidermal water loss, botanical oils improve skin hydration and barrier strength. Botanical oils are natural penetration enhancers known to improve skin barrier function and as a result, support the health and beauty of the skin.

About enmarie® Botanical Oils:

The ingredients in our enmarie® botanical oils are carefully curated and blended to support targeted areas of the skin and provide long lasting hydration. While there is no scent or fragrance intentionally added to the blends, botanical oils possess inherently gentle scents of their own, sometimes with earthy, nutty or woodsy notes in their bouquets.

Our purpose for not adding fragrance is twofold; to provide unscented* blends for those who are sensitive to fragrances and as a result may experience allergic symptoms. And to the contrary, for those who would like to wear their own signature perfume (be it Chanel® or Jo Malon®) and wish not to have conflicting fragrances in their skincare products.

*Our Not-to-be-forgotten Nail and Cuticle Oil contains Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, which is rich in vitamins B and C, and has a naturally occurring fresh and sweet citrus scent.

Our botanical oils are clean and free of the following ingredients: coal tar, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, hydroquinone, mineral oil, parabens, phthalates, oxybenzone, retinyl palmitate, sulfates SLS and SLES, triclosan, and triclocarban.

As a result of containing minimal amounts of preservatives, enmarie® Botanical Oils are best used within 3 months after opening.
