National Honey Bee Day is August 20, 2022

What is National Honey Bee Day and why should we celebrate?

National Honey Bee Day is celebrated every year, the third Saturday in August. It is a day dedicated to both the beauty and value of bees, and also to recognize and support  beekeepers, beekeeping clubs and associations, and honey bee enthusiasts from all across the country.

It is a day to celebrate honey bees and recognize their contribution to our everyday lives as a means of protecting this critical species for future generations. We also pay homage to beekeepers, whose labors ensure we have bees to pollinate our crops.
